The Hilux 2020 is the newest edition of the excellent commercial mover on the block. So what makes this bad boy tick? Read on to know-
Modern Styling
Toyota has adopted a new design approach. Gone is the boxy design of pickups, and instead, you get to see a sophisticated and modern look. The front face of the Hilux 2020 is sleek and aggressive. Narrow headlamps neatly meet the signature grill giving the vehicle an instantly recognizable face. The lower grill is shaped in a trapezoidal manner, adding to the toughness that this beast oozes. Besides, it increases the engine cooling performance as well as is helpful when towing.
Stylish and spacious Interiors
Even though the primary purpose of the Hilux 2020 is ferrying goods around, Toyota has paid enough attention to the interiors. A modern steering with Buttons for call and audio control perfectly complements the stylish and futuristic dashboard. A touchscreen infotainment system right in the centre handles all the multimedia needs, including the parking camera display. The Hilux 2020 comes equipped with a modern climate control system. The seats are done up tastefully in red in contrast to the black, grey and chrome of the dashboard.
Enhanced Deck space
The load deck has been tweaked to give you more space than before. The deck of the Hilux 2020 is larger (79 mm wider and 19 mm longer) than the outgoing edition. The deck has also been reinforced for strength with thicker outer panels and a stronger headboard
Increased loading capacity
The Hilux 2020 comes with an improved loading capacity as compared to its previous editions. It is equipped with larger tie-down hooks that are easier to use with the ‘J-deck’ load space rim. The tie-down points in the deck are mounted lower to secure the load further. Metal plates in place of the tailgate struts also increase the strength and reliability of the tailgate.
More Variants
The Hilux 2020 comes in 15 different trims. You can choose between the seven petrol and diesel versions on sale. There is a choice of 2.8 L and 2.4 L engines for the diesel burner while the petrol Hilux comes only with the 2.7 L one. Also, there is a choice of opting for a 4x2 or a 4x4 variant in either of the versions. There is also a TRD (Toyota Racing Development) a 4x4 off-road power-packed version of the pickup with a 4.0L engine powered by petrol.
Attractively priced
The Hilux 2020 starts from 74,000 SAR for the basic 2.4L 4x2 diesel powered GL variant and goes up to 132300 SAR for the high spec 2.4L 4x4 SGLX variant. You may inquire about the pricing for the TRD versions with any Toyota dealer around you.
